Hi all:

Could anyone recommand a solution for remote power switch?

I am on business trips quite boften and would like to access my lab (in my basement) remotely. But I don't like to leave the equipment power on unattended (not just save the energy but also minimize the danger such as thuderstorm) and would like to be able to control the power remote via my dsl on needed basis.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

So many kinda remote controllable power supplu on the market.
What I can tell you is what I am using

http://www.servertech.com

you are able to watch the load, turn the outlet on/off by group or just single one through Telnet and Web remotely, and you are able to use modem to dial in to control it.

During the 3 years using, just have one problem with the control board of the power supply, made a call to them, they sent new one in, and I was able to do hot swap, and it's safety to reset the power supply.

I think it's good one.

Good luck to you.
