Morrowind - Please Help

I got Morrowind shortly after it came out and then, for a reason I
couldn't remember, I put it away. I recently took it back out and
thought, "Hmmm, I have the game and I seem to have bought the
expansions, why didn't I ever play it?"

Well, I started the game again tonight and remember my frustration.

How in the heck to I rest? There has got to be a better way than
walking out of town and roughing it in the wilderness, but I can't
weem to rest anywhere in town.

This seems like it should be so simple, but for something so critical
to playing, it receives no instructions. Can somebody please explain
to me how to rest, especially at the beginning of the game?

Thank you.

Seyda Neen offers NO "Beds For Rent, but a walk to "Pelagaid" and it's
tavern
you will find beds for rent.

We could talk about the places in Balmora but just think taverns. 8^))

Resting is briefly explained on page 45 of the manual.

In towns, corner clubs and taverns often have beds for rent.
Speak to the bartender and look for the word 'bed' in his
dialogue box. After paying him (usually 10gp) you will then
be allowed to use one of the beds you'll find in the place.
Also if you join one of the guilds such as the Mages guild
or the Fighters guild, you may sleep in any of the beds in
their guild houses. To sleep, put the cursor on a bed and
hit the space bar.

In beds? In the main customs and excise building, down the stairs is a bed
roll laid out, aim at it and 'use' it....just don't get caught using someone
else's bed, it makes them grumpy :) Some towns have an inn where you can pay
for access to a room for a day, otherwise picking an abandoned house works
quite nicely

Find a bed for rent, which will cost money or find a vacant house and
permanantly move in. But what ever you do, don't sleep in someone else
her/his bed, this will realy piss them of.

Have fun and goodnight :)

You can also rest when traveling or exploring out in the "wilderness"
once you have moved a sufficient distance from certain restricted areas.
Simply press T. Thats assuming you're on the PC of course. :)

Scyda Neen has the free bedroll in the customs office, and another bed which
becomes available after an early quest.

Thanks for the help (even the ones with some attitude) and the effort
to avoid spoilers. I appreciate it.

To be honest, I was concerned that I might not be able to find help
with a game this old. I remember Daggerfall, although I never
finished the quest, and all the fun I had just "living" the game. I'm
thrilled that there will be a 4th game.

I'm sure I'll be back for more help later.
