Hi,

I would like to know if there's a big difference in speed between those 2. Also, I would like to buy a Serial ATA RAID controller pci card (or pci-express) but there's so much choice i'm really lost... Maybe this one? I really don't know... Someone help me.

A big difference between 2 IDE 7200rpm raid 0 Sata, and Pata drives? no not realy. Now if you get the SATA3.0 drives, and a good sata pci-e controler card, you will see a difference by quite a bit while using the hdd. Now your prolly not going to need that speed unless you want to install stuff really fast. Most everything else is handeld by the ram/cpu... And not to mention a good raid controler addon is expencive.
