I bought my first PCI-E card (which I won't use until I get a new mobo next month...hope it works as it's from ebay). My AGP card, the 6600gt, has a connector to power it from the PSU. The 7600gt does NOT have an extra power connector. Is this normal for PCI-E cards? It's a Chaintech.

Don't worry that's normal for THAT PCie card.

Also you will often see an AGP card with a power connector while it's PCIe brother won't because the PCIe slot can provide 35+W more than the AGP slot, so often you'll see the AGP have a power connector and the PCIe not, for cards right on the edge of the AGPs power needs. Like with the GF6600, X800XL.

GF7600 doesn't need additional power from the PSU.
