I recently deployed windows 2000 Advanced Server on my network. Now when logging onto the network it takes between 10-15 minutes to authenticate and apply my users peronal settings on their computers each time they log in. Is this normal? And how can I make it faster?

If you rolled out the Active Directory, you got the DNS server on the
Advanced server. The user DNS settings should point to this internal DNS
server only rather than to the ISP or router IPs. Install the DHCP server
onto this Advanced server, configure a scope, and authorize it. Disable any
other DHCP servers.
