Hi guys could you check these selections out

It all sums to about £350 which is the max budget for this system. All parts not listed I have already. This pc will be used entirely for watch/recording/transcoding/encoding freeview - digital and in the near future HDTV. I plan to overclock the PD805 a little, but stay at stock CPU voltage. If you guys could give your advice / feedback that would be great.

Many Thanks.

If you could, I'd try to squeeze out a little more and opt for the Pentium D 820, upgrades you to 800MHz FSB, and a little more clock speed.

ok thanks for that. May consider upping to a 820. Anyone else think this will give me a significant boost for the extra £25. Also any comments on other aspects of the build?

Thanks. :)

For the sake of £25 i'd look at upgrading the CPU cooler and just clocking the 805D up to 3.6-3.8GHz anyway. If TG can do it, so can others!
