Which would be better to buy:
-Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
-Intel Core 2 Duo E6400
---------------------------------------
I was originally going to buy the E6600, but is the extra 2MB cache worth the almost $100 or so price difference?!

--Note:
I am upgrading (actually, building form scratch!) from my crap 2000 Dell Dimension 2400. Here are its specs:
-------------------------------
-Intel Celeron 2.39GHZ
-256MB Ram
-17" CRT Monitor
-------------------------------
Things I've added:
-------------------------------
-Creative Labs Audigy 2 ZS Sound Card
-Logitech MX510 Laser Mouse (thought I was buying the MX518!)
-Ideazon Z-Board
-Creative Labs 5.1 Speakers
-nVidia GeForce 5200 256MB PCI (don't have any AGP!!!)
-------------------------------------------

--to a pretty decent (I hope) gaming rig;

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @2.40GHZ
-nForce 590 SLI - Intel Edition Mobo
-1GB Ram
-Dell 17" Flat Screen
-200-300GB HD
-Sound Blaster X-Fi Sound Card
-1 GeForce 7600GT, or something (suggestions welcome!)
---------------------------------
I was hoping to get these parts off of newegg, but so far, they haven't gotten any Core 2's (except on launch day, where they sold out of X6800 in a matter of minutes!)
Now, being the 17 year old that I am, I just want to make sure I am not wasting my money; as I don't want to spend much over $1,000.
Thanks!

I forgot to add: I will be using the computer for gaming!
