wireless networking

I have a network that I am just started to look after which has 2 access
points, the problem is that although I have an excellent signal and all the
dns, subnet mask,tcp/ip and default gateway settings are correct and working
via a wired network, I cant get any laptops to work via the access points.
The access point are set correctly also. the status of the connection shows
packets heading from the laptop with no problem but nothing coming back from
the network.

Yet sometimes everything will work fine for a while then just stop! Does
anyone have any ideas? Can someone point me to what I have missed
