Just need to know what kind and type of ram I should get for my DFI LP SLI-DR EXPERT??
People tell me G.Skill but i had never heard of them. Are there any difference on how many pins I use?? Im currently using a 184-pin 2x512 Kingston HyperX
Amd+3700
DFI LP SLI-DR EXPERT
X-Fi Xtreme music
NeoHe550Watt
I play games like F.E.A.R CoD2 NFSMW and lots of other great games.
I need a 2gig set. And kick ass speed. Just throw out best ram for my DFI mobo. What do you guys suggest?? I will be OC'ing my rig as well.
ANY opinions would be appreciated :D

184 pin count means that your mobo only supports DDR. DDR2 has a pin count of 240 and is not compatiable with your board. hope that helps.

WHy Corsiar??
Wouldnt you recommend any better RAM??
or is that the best out there??
Is there ram higher than 400mhz, if so would my board be able to support it and if there is what should I be looking AT??

since your using ddr ram, i would assume that you one socket 939 which performs much better with lower timings rather than with more bandwidth, so ddr400 is the sweet spot with the lowest timings there is, you can go higher but i dont even know if your board supports it or what...

this is the fastest ram i could find with cas latency of 2

CORSAIR XMS 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 433 (PC 3500)

note i have no clue if your dfi supports this or not, i dont even know if you going to gain any performance from this, i would stick with taht i recommended above...

Corsair XMS is pretty much the best ram there is depending on the modules you pick, ocz platnium or whatever is comparable

I ONLY reccomend Corsair XMS and OCZ based on reviews and experience. You can get faster RAM that will allow you to overclock. The question is, do you want to OC? If so, then pick some DDR500 RAM or something.
