Hello

In my place the following are the prices

939 3800+ - $181.25
939 4200+ - $270

E6300 - $218.75
E6400 - $260

I am wondering which one to buy.
I would not like to upgrade for 3 years at least.

I am not an overclocker.
My primary applications are development, browsing and occasional gaming.

How much is the performance difference between E6300 and E6400

also please suggest a solid board for fast stock running.

http://www.asrock.com/product/ConRoeXFire-eSATA2.htm <<You can't Overclock almost anything with this Motherboard(stock)

And a E6300. This Dual core(stock) Will be able to serve you Massively well For around 300$US

The Only Difference Between the E6300@1.86Ghz and E6400@2.13Ghz are the Speeds they have been specified to run at (they both have 2Mb L2 Cache)

Many people(overclockers) will buy E6300 and overclock to E6400 Levels for the 2mb range
Many people(overclockers) will buy E6600 and overclock to XE6800 Levels or beyond to XE6900 and XE7000 Levels
