I have the 805d in a biostar cheap board p4m800a version 7 using xms ddr pc3200 ram.
My question is when I hit the 3 GHz mark when setting the dram bus at 166 which evidently is increased when setting the system bus my serial hard drive is not detected.
Does anyone have some info on this I have done a search with no results I have tried several different ram setting and still was not able to get my SATA drives to work.
Power is fine cooling is very acceptable

I had the same problem on a DFI board. 2 of the SATA ports would stop working if the FSB was overclocked by more than 10 MHz. Turns out they wern't frequency locked like the other 2 and the pci bus. A quick trip to this fourm and I discovered other people with that board had the same problem. To fix it I bought a cheap 2 channel SATA controller from newegg for about $15 and pluged it into an empty pci slot and never used the 2 ports on the board again. Try checking if there is a frequency lock function in the bios that may fix it.
