I got a used HP6122 printer from Ebay. I can't get it to communicate with
my XP computer, either with the USB cable or the parallel cable. The
computer just wont recognize it. The lights on the printer do not indicate
any problems. The green light is on steady.

If I borrow my secretary's printer (also a HP6122) and plug it into my
compter, the compter recognizes it right away and prints from it just fine.

It sounds to me like there is a printer problem. I contacted the ebay guy I
got it from and he says he personally tested it and it was fine, but send it
back and if it doesn't check out, he'll refund my money. Before I send it
back I just want to make sure I done everything right.

Any ideas what else I can do to get it working?

Thanks.
