Help...need some advice Core 2 Duo

I have all my parts rounded up for my core 2 duo E6600 build except the processor.

What should I do?

Should I wait until the 4th or 7th and then place an order.............. believing they should/will be available or should I place one on backorder with someone now?

Hate to have one on backorder and not get it but have it available somewhere else....................geeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzz

I am in the same situation. I decided to wait till the 4th / 7th and on those days search around sites. So if you think you will have the time on the 4th / 7th to monitor sites like newegg for the processors wait.
