What monitor, video card and connection type (VGA, DVi or HDMI) are you using? Are you trying to watch HD content requiring HDCP compliance?

Using a flat screen Dell 1703FP monitor with DVi connection and ASUS Radeon 5870 video card...

Yes latest drivers for W7.

Everyone always says they have the latest drivers. If you provide a version # that will help others help you. Depending on where you look you will find different drivers. For instance, if I go to my GPU manufacturer website they offer their version of the latest. If I let Windows Update search for their version they offer me a different 'latest'. The only way to be sure you have the latest is to check AMD's website. And I would recommend frequent checks. There are lots of new hardware and software products being released in a short time period and there may be many more updates.
