hi how with the cpu perform with 1gig of 533mhz ram?? i have a new gigabyte dq6 mobo and i just been wonder how it will perfom?? and how it would overclock with that ram

I think that you will get better performance out of 667 or 800 RAM, but if you only want to spend the money on DRR2-533, it will still perform nicely. Here's an article in French, but the graphs show the different RAM speeds and latency's. It should help you and hopefully lessen your concerns. GL
