Downgrading a Windows 2000 Advanced Server

Does anyone know if there is a way to downgrade from
Advanced Server to Server without doing a total re-build
of the server?

You can't do that without a format and reinstall.

simple answer as far as I am aware.
No
rebuild and restore data
