My Lian Li case has 4 rubber feet on the bottom, where it stands on the table. I've got lots of fans and 3 hard drives going at the same time, so it likes to vibrate the table. That also produces noise. What to do?
I grabbed some of those adhesive felt pads you put on the bottoms of chairs that stay on a wood floor, to keep from scratching the wood. I stuck one on each of the 4 rubber feet, stood the case up, and turned it on - much quieter, and the table wasn't shaking nearly as much as it was before.
My Raptor is now much quieter, even during seek times (like when loading up Battlefield 2), and my fans aren't making the table vibrate. And having something soft on the table in between the two hard surfaces really helped out a lot.
Vibration = noise. Less vibration = less noise.
Enjoy.
