a local company has installed a printer in our office so they can directly print their "reports" in our office...

the printer is connected to a PHONE LINE... they then dial into the printer and print their reports....

i want to be able to print on this same printer from one of my local computers...

the printer only has a rj-11 port and a serial port...

the phone line goes into the rj-11....

how can i connect a parallel port out of my computer into the serial port...

i have found a cable which will connect between the computer and printer, BUT, nothing prints....

please help...

i am running W2K-SP2....
