my 05 3d mark score?

i just ran the 05 3d mark on my comp and got a 8800, i'm not sure if that's good or bad, can one of you experts give a noob your opinion..

64 3200+
ocz plat 1 gig.
x1900xt

i read reviews where people hit 10,000 but i think my cpu might be holding me back, not sure..

You really should be getting more than that. It could be that your graphics card probably cost more than your CPU, RAM, and mobo combined.

CPU and video card is fine. Try getting 2gb of RAM.

BTW,
never depend on 3DMark scores, they rarely tell real time performance.

In truth, 2GB doesnt make any noticable difference when compared to 1GB in 05. In 06...yes.....05, no. The reality is your CPU is your bottleneck, hense your low score.

First off, it WOULD help your score. However 3dmark performance isnt everything, which is where prozac was leading onto. If your happy with your in game performance, then I wouldnt bother upgrading.
