Conroe CPU and Cooling Fan?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I have looked around and can not really find the answer.

When I "FINALLY" get my E6600 (lol) will it come with the necessary cooling fan included in the retail box? The last P4 I bought did indeed come with the proper cooling fan and has worked very well for a number of years.

Also....................will I need anything else..........like heat transfer compound? Or will this also come with the CPU?

It should come with an adequate heatsink if you bought a "Boxed" CPU, same goes for the pre-applied TIM.

If you buy an OEM version, it won't come with anything. A seperate heatsink/fan combo should inlude a thermal pad or grease. I understand that the Conroe uses the same hsf as socket 775 chips. (Someone please correct if I am wrong.)
