Alot of retailers are saying the 7th. Some are saying the 14th. If you don't have an advanced order, I'd say probably near the end of the month.

Judging from the some of the retail websites and local computer stores in the chicago area Pre-orders are trickeling in. Stock is not expected until early september.

I would say mid to late August for a more robust choice/quantity of Core 2 Duo.

No matter what any marketing PR says, they always seem to have rainbow colored glasses on and see things in a nice and pretty fashion.

The 7th is the "official" every Core 2 Duo is available date, but again, you'll have to weed through supply/demand pricing and low stock to fill back orders.

At best you are looking at 8th of August IMO, at worst, 14th of Augst, with shipping and other considerations, most likely to be in your hands on the 20th

No I belive some will be available the 4th for some retailers, the 7th for most others.

Apparently the 4th is a day that a large amount will be shipped, juding by www.shopblt.com, and their supposed current status:

Whether or not this comany is reputable, I do not know, I am just pointing out more indication of the 4th being a strong possiblity at a larger shipment.

Keep in mind that just because they have them in stock, it doesn't necessarily mean that they are going to ship them. Their website even says, "Please remember that ETA's are not guaranteed shipping dates and are subject to change by the manufacturer. The fastest way to obtain this item is to place an order online now to secure your position in line."

I preordered the e6600 at clubit. They say that they have them in stock, but they have to wait until the 7th to ship them!

If shopblt ships and clubit doesn't then I will be pretty jealous!

I hear alot of people on this forum crying because they want a conroe NOW - Then when I show them were to get one, they cry about the price? Nothing in life is free....
