Does anyone know why there aren't any 6800 ultra's around? I'd guess they stopped producing them, but you can still buy all the other 6800 series (GT, XT, blah).

TG stores

Other than these two stores, I can only find them on ebay...

If someone could shed light on this issue it would be appreciated.

For the price you'll find the 6800Ultra now (think about it, the card is very rare), you will most likely be better off getting a new card. 7900GT can be had for about $240US, and the 6800Ultra will probably cost similar.

Well I believe the single GPU solution x1900 or 7900GT maybe even GS would put more years than the SLI on the ultra would.. besides selling/trading in the ultra would probably cut the costs down initally.

Yea it seems to be true, 6800 Ultras are selling for $200 on ebay. Seems like the thing to do, as always, is just hold off as long as I can.

Why would anyone want a 6800Ultra now?

A good point...

I'm not buying a new system for a couple years and was thinking to maybe SLi instead of buying a new GPU

Why does it say 6800U SLI in your sig if you only have one card?
