I just bought a 3800X2 after the price drops, and I've been Ocing a bit, and I searched for the stepping and came up with sites saying it is toledo with half the cache disabled.

Here's the exact stepping written on my processor:

AMD Athlon 64 X2

ADA3800DAA5CD
LCBIE 0618EPMW

My question is, what impact does this have? How is it different from a manchester in terms of heat production and overclockability?

Thanks

according to the offical amd site, the ADA3800DAA5CD model with e6 has 2 x 512s cache. I don't know what to believe anymore.. i'm on the same boat as you my brother, I just bought a 3800 x2 for my s939 and its registering as a toldeo.

EDIT: After some research on the amd forums, I am lead to think that the 3800+ toledo is the newer core with 1mb x 2 on both cores but it is disabled to 512, this is what it meant by half. So in escensse, it prefroms the same as a manchester. I hope this assumption is correct. As for ocing, some people on AMD forums have reported the toledo as a stronger ocer than manchester..
