Folks

I am using Samsung 160 GB SATA 1.5 GB/s (Model SP1614C), my Motherboard is Intel D915GAV, which supports SATA 1.5 GB/s, which means UDMA 7, but Intel Desktop Utilities v.2.1.9.66 shows that my HDD's maximum transfer mode is UDMA 7(ATA/150), but the active transfer mode is UDMA 5(ATA/100).

My question is how could I use my HDD with UDMA 7 mode? Is there any way to make active transfer mode UDMA 7(ATA/150)?

That I know that normally it does, but I want to know is there any way to activate the UDMA 7, even UDMA 6? What about Raid? Is it possilbe doing it with Intel D915 GAV motherboard using Matrix Storage Driver of Intel?

It already is activated. If you're using a SATA device, it's uses UDMA 7. The Bios just identifies it as UDMA 5. Raid will not help it be identified as UDMA 7. There is nothing you can do. Just live with it.
