I finally ordered my C2D setup, please be gentle =)

Ok, it was either the looneyhouse, or actually doing something that would make me unable to try to second guess my second guessess on what parts to get for my new rig. Here follows:
What I have:
Logitech MX Laser mouse
CRT 19" (Couldn't afford anything new at this date)

And here is what I have ordered:
CPU: E6600
Mobo: P5W DH DELUXE
RAM: CORSAIR DDR2 KIT 2X1GB 800MHZ 5CAS (Couldn't afford 4CAS)
HD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB
3D: PNY Geforce 7900 GTX
CPU aircooling: CNPS9500 LED
CASE: ExtremEngine 3T (25cm fan, here I come!)
PSU: SilverStone Zeus ST56ZF 560W (38A over 12V, woooh)
Headphones: Medusa 5.1 ProGamer
Keyboard: Logitech G15
Back side fan: ZALMAN CASE FAN 120*120MM

Total cost in Finland: 1808 euro, roughly translates to 2200 $ :roll:

I'm poor now, but eagerly awaiting everything.

Looks like a good setup. Did you consider going SLI on the graphics or getting the 7950GX2 with 2 GPUs on one card?

Probably a little out of price range.

Yeah, I thought about both the 2 GPU card, or SLI with the one I bought, but I figure this card will get me max performance at very acceptable resolutions for 12+ months, and then it will be time to go over to DX10 and VISTA I venture.
The only thing I am not sure on is the memory, do you guys think it will get me over 3 GHZ stable 24/7 when I decide to OC? (Considering it is CAS5)

I would have dropped the Zalman CNPS9500 if you're not planning on taking that E6600 past 3.2, but other than that, very nice system.

Oh, I will be OC:ing it to its full extent when the time comes, but the only thing Im worrying about is that the RAM will be the limiting factor, as it is CAS5

Got them for 85€ from verkkokauppa.com , but that's a finnish online store =)

Definitly go for CAS 4 if you can afford it. If not, your OC'ing potential will probably be a bit more limited.
