e6600 is a MUCH better deal... right now u prob wont even notice a difference between the two because they are both DAMN FAST...the e6600 beats the fx62 is alot of tests...thats not fast enough for u?

Second that. E6700 is a waste of cash. Get the E6600 and overclock it.

I'm going to go one step further than the other 2 and say drop to the E6300. If you're planning "a game every now and then but not too often", even the E6600 would be a waste of money. If you don't want to drop down to the 6300, then definitly drop to at least the 6600. The 6700 is like shadowduck said "a waste of cash" The E6600 will easily overclock to the speed of the 6700. You save about $130 in the process.

Thanks for the input. You've convinced me. I'll definitely drop the processor speed down.

Any thoughts on my other components?

Thanks,

Tim
