What do you need a videocard for? You should be good with what you have. Are you just downloading the torrents, or are you recording them? If so you need a tuner card, which both nvidia and ati offer in the AIW series

I ran a Radeon X850Xt in a AGP4x board for two months and it worked fine - not full speed, but pretty close to it.(then I upgraded)

PCI cards are little goldmines. Just buy a cheap but good AGP card like a 6600 (assuming you are not using this PC for games, because lets face it, even a 6600 is overkill coupled with a 2.0ghz cpu) then shove the PCI card in there along with it. Nothing makes your PC feel more manly and useful than having 4 monitors. Also, if you're encoding shows, seeding torrents and such, having more desktop room makes everything alot easier.

But hey, thats just the way i look at old pc's :D . Once you've got one monitor, you want two. Once you have two, you crave for three. The only logical step is adding a fourth. There may be cheaper ways to heat rooms, but very few of them look as good as having a cluster of displays.

LOL
i should have been more detailed,
its compaq evo d 510 convet tower(only thing is PS is 280 watt),and I will only be seeding and waching old tv shows(so if i get vhs quality ill b happy) no burning but my 30"wide screen has a extra s vid input i got a 25' s-video cable as well as auido to wach the shows.
Why would i need this?? Happauge WinTV-PVR 150. The HD i understand wont go that big however prolly bout 150 or so will do me.

I've done some upgrades while having a drink. The trick is to keep the beer AWAY from the system. Try it next time and I bet you'll be fine.
