Hi group.

I'm new to 3G. 3g was just launched in Singapore recently.
The cellular company in question provides a package to purchase a 3G
mobile phone and a landline video phone which you can use to make video
calls between the 2 devices.

I noticed that this so called landline phone is actually IP-based as it
uses a UTP cable and it states it requires a broadband connection.

I was wondering if the video calls can be made from a IP-phone to a 3G
mobile phone, then can I instead use a ip-phone software from my PC to
make video calls to a 3G mobile device? E.g use H323 protocol or
something?

How in the world does a IP-phone make a 3G video call to a 3G mobile
device via the internet in the first place? Does the 3G phone have a
fix-ip or something? Does it use the 3G Packet Data?

This is the setup on the website:

The sales staff were unable to give me a proper answer. They just said
currently "You must use the 2 devices provided by the company".
I don't even think they even know what is IP-telephony.

I don't have the group: comp.dcom.voice-over-ip so I can't cross-post to
that group. And something's up with my newsfeed's comp.dcom.telecom
