Wrong Icon Showing

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.basics (More info?)

I've assigned Irfanview to handle mp3s and wav files and it works, but
when I open a folder and view the files, they still carry the WMP
icon.

How do I change that?

I've tried deleting the assignments and creating new, but that doesn't
work.
