If they are both the same price, what would you choose between Corsair

TWINX2048-3200 and/or TwinX2048-3200PT? I think they're both the same except for the color of the heat spreaders.

Would it make any difference?

For an ASUS A8N5X with AMD X2-3800.

Thanks.

PT(Platinum) always have the better chip underneth them than the 'normal' black version. It's a way of Cosair differentiating module quality.

That in turn directly correlates to different advertised timing.

What do you mean "the better chip "?

As far as I could tell, the TWINX2048-3200 and the TwinX2048-3200PT both have CAS latency of 3 and timings of 3-3-3-8. The "PT" just stands for Platinum heat spreaders. Both use 2.6 volts.

The Twinx2048-3200c2 and the Twinx2048-3200c2pt have Cas latency of 2 and timings of 2-3-3-6. The 3200c2 and 3200c2PT use 2.75 volts.

Are the Platinum heat spreaders that much better than the regular black heat spreaders?

You've got some very good sauvignon blancs down there. I've heard that New Zealand is quite beautiful. Great lamb and fish too. Do you still have Orange Roughy there? We can only get it frozen here.

Thanks.

Sorry, my bad for not clarifying.
Better as in hand-picked for quality of the same type of chip. Normally results in better overclocking and able to run lower timing with luck.

Orange Roughy... I think we call it 'Snapper' here which looks like this:

Only caughtable in upper North Island.

Yes, lots of sheeps and cows too which I get to see everyday as a vet student. (You get sick of it after a while)

Thanks for the Snapper image. Thanks for the chip clarification.

As far as those sheep and cows, just kill em and eat em if you're sick of em. (LOL) They'll go good with a nice Shiraz.
