Weird speeds with wless accespoint...

Hey, when I connect to my 4mbps adsl line at home with traditional cable I get the right speeds against the internet. But when I connect with my SMC 54mbps pci to my SMC 54mbps accesspoint all I i get against the internet is 2mbps and not 4mbps. Why is this?

Ps. The router and firewall function in the accesspoint is disabled.

Set your connection speeds to "Auto" on both if they aren't already.
