Ok I already went through the FAQ's like a good poster but I have a bit of a question I didnt see answered. I know that a lower CAS will mean faster ram in general. I am currently looking at 3 DDR2 sets all of them CAS 4. One has a CAs timing of 4-4-4-12 and the other has a CAS timing of 4-5-4-15. Would I be getting better performance with the 4-4-4-12 or the 4-5-4-15? There is only like a $20 price difference between the 2 so price is really a moot point and I know that I could get faster performance with say a CAS 3 or CAS 2 but is there any real difference between the 2 timings?

If price mean absolutely nothing to you then go with the 4-4-4-12 stuff. Technically it is faster but you may not notice it.

That is kind of what I was thinking I just wanted another opinion the $20 is really nothing considering I am building a whole new system. I think I will go with the 4-4-4-12 timings thanks.

Yeah I dont plan on overclocking since when I get my new rig built up im looking for long term stability, not that I will be leaving my pc on all the time but the rig I am on now I have had since about 2000 and would like my new rig to last about as long. And I plan on DDR2 800 since my new rig will be a conroe set up.
