on newegg for about $675 after rebates i can get:

- AMD 64 4000+ = 140
- 2gb DDR400 Patriot = 157
- 250gb SATA = 70
- x850xt = 105
- cd reader = 30
- ASUS ATI XPRESS 200 = 89
- FSP 400w PSU = 45
- Zalman VF900 = 40

now i am wondering, is it worth spending about $70 less on ram, and get 2 x 512mb instead of 2 x 1gb, and put that extra money towards a better video card, or should i just keep the ram how it is, i may upgrade again next september, so i do not know if the x850xt will work or not, i play battlefield 2 , cs:s , gonna play BF2142 when it come out and maybe Oblivion, any suggestion? i dont think i can go above $675, i do not need to add a case, and if i do get another video card i wouldnt necesarily need to get the VF900 (x850xt stock cooling is very loud), and, i may overclock 200-300mhz, will my mobo overclock well? and can i put a 120mm zalman heatsink/fan on it? or will it interfere with the chipset heatsink?

I AM VERY SORRY FOR NOT SUPPLYING U ANY LINKS, BUT NEWEGG DOESN'T LIKE TO COOPERATE WITH ME ALL THAT OFTEN

I hope that cd reader is a dvd burner:)

I used to have a similar system.
Instead of 4000+, get a 3500+ and OC to like 2.7ghz.
good graphics card there and excellent choice of ram. stick with 2 GB you wont be dissapointed. 1GB is the normal now.
