Leadtek 7600 GT problem

A friend bought a leadtek 7600gt extreme with dual DVI,and he has a CRT monitor.When he attaches the DVI-CRT connector supplied with the card he gets a black screen,he tried both outputs and it didn't go.The card is getting power and the fan is ok it's not overheating and every thing else ok.Thanks for your reply

What Graphics Card did your friend have previously? Did he reformat his HDD? What are the rest of your specs?
Maybe your friend should reseat his components, something might have come loose during installation.

Well he had a geforce mx440,a MSI intel based chipset on the MB, 512MB RAM,P4 2.0Ghz, but he upgraded to a asus MB P4GPl-x with a PCI-e slot and a 478 socket,he has all the old parts beside the MB and the video card,the mb works the video card works,RAm,fans ,every thing but when he plugs in the CRT monitor with the DVI addaptor the screen is black,no signal.He didn't reformat his HDD and every thing else is in place
