Erasing a Hard Drive

Hey, im going to install windows XP again on my HDD because im replacing my motherboard.
I want to know how i can erase my Hard Drive.
Also, my HDD is composed of 2 drives, C: and D: Is it possible to erase only one of them?

One of the boot functions of the XP install is the ability to delete partitions, create partitions and reformat the partition you wish to install the OS into. It will allow you to delete the host partition, recreate it and reformat it - althewhile keeping your other partition safe

yeah, windows will do it for you. just make sure you've got the right drive. 99% of the time it's the C drive.
