Firefox Myths

Yes some of the content may be correct, but the website does not choose to show its proof. It chooses to make a statement and then provide a link. If you wish to make a strong point about something you need to first quote something and then actually show the source that you quoted from. THEN you need to actually explain why you included the quote and how it helps bolster your argument. This is a common essay writing technique and should be used whenever you are writing an argument or wish to be considered credible.

Let me state again that some of the content may be correct... but I argue that these pro "internet explorer" are all moot arguments. They are moot because:

First, you cant use internet explorer in linux/mac os x/AIX/Unix/Solaris/etc etc etc etc list goes on and on.

Second, the majority of Firefox is licensed under the GNU GPL (General Public License) which makes all source code available to the public to use it as they see fit. This is the most important point about this subject.

Its important to remember this; when calling another individual a fanboy, its crucial to not portray yourself as one

That being said. Don't you think a PM would have worked instead of creating a misplaced and pointless thread?

ya point taken. Very true. I am being hypocritcal.

My original point is not to be attacking someone though but to defend the firefox browser. (I will edit it to take out any mention of the person who had it in their sig.)

Learning from our own bias' tends to point us in the right direction....

However your post does have some validity, so I can't take that away from you. I realize you weren't attacking anybody, but bringing out this sort of discussion (or flame) is what a forum is about......just not in the Graphics card section bud
