My boss kindly allowed me to print my daughter's wedding invitations on his
OKI C5300 printer. Since the invites went out, I have been asked by one of
the recipients to do his. I'm now in the position of having to buy my own
printer to do this job - I know I will have other work when word gets
around.

It's hard to tell on the OKI site what the print quality difference is
between the variety of models offered - the price certainly differs. I
don't need network, duplex capability or great speed.

Any ideas?

I have 2 OKI C5150N color lasers and print about 1000 color prints a
week on each at about 80% coverage (Heavy pictures and graphics). I
got the first one for $499 at Staples about 3 months ago and the second
also at Staples but for $399 about 3 weeks ago.

I refill my own cartridges and the print quality is great (But the
after market toner doesn't have the same gloss as the original OKI
toner but only costs about $40/refill vs $130 for OKI Carts.) Just
figure on throwing the printer away after about 15,000 prints as a new
set of image drums costs more than a new printer (About $130 ea X 4)
I'm waiting for my first one to die - but it just keeps hanging on.
BTW my per print cost is about $0.15 ea.
