Hi there,

First time poster here needing help with a Geforce FX 5200 128mb -
I'm rebuilding a system for a friend (motherboard replacement) and the motherboard they bought for the system came with a biiig warning label on it saying not to use 3.3v AGP graphics cards, as they can cause permenant damage to the motherboard.

The graphics card going into the system is his old Geforce FX5200 128mb - and he's lost all the original documentation for it. So I have no idea what voltage the thing runs at. Can any one help me with this?

Hi follower,
It's okay - the FX5200 is an AGP 4x/8x vidcard. They are warning you about the older (AGP 2x) vidcards that required higher voltage...

Thankyou!

so just to confirm - putting a Geforce FX5200 in a ASrock K7S41GX motherboard isnt likely to blow the motherboard up or anything scary like that? :)
