I have hit a stumblling block in the design ofmy next computer, and that wether to use a 975 or 965 motherboard, i can afford either. I am very interested in the use of intel PEC (where the CPU controls that cas fans) whether that efect which chipset touse. and i dont much care for nforce 4or thr new 5 series.

So which is better?

I don't think either will survive another wave of cpus. Intel usually requires new chipsets for new cpus.

If you're not going to overclock, I would go with the cheapest board you can find with the features you want because the mobo makes little difference in perfomance.
