OK I ordered the AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ (the one with 1 MB Cache).

I have Hardrive (non-sata but will upgrade that later), Sounds Card (Audigy Pro Gamer still doing great), a case (Antec Sonota II w/450 w PSU), a DVD Burner, and a Monitor (Sceptre X20 20.1" Widescreen LCD)

All I do is game and light online stuff. I will most likely want to upgrade the memory and vid card in a year or two and hopefully make the PC last 4-5 years like my current box has.

So no I don't need to have my games run all out.. they just need to run and be playable. :)

Now I need to get a Motherboard, Memory and Video Card for $400.

Any suggestions?

I was thinking of these:

Memory - GSkill 1 GB kit or OCZ $114-

Motherboard - will this board do OK?

Video Card - I prefer Nvidia but would go ATI if there is one better:

Thanks for any help!

Suggested Changes:

Mobo: Asus M2N-E

RAM: Go for the G.Skill set you picked. OCZ has problems with AM2 boards.

The rest looks good. Enjoy the new build.

Looks good though. :D
