This morning my MBP (from late 2011 with Lion) froze and I forced it to power off. Upon re-boot, I got a white screen for half an hour, and then I shut it off again. The next time, I got Kernel Panic.
I tried to reset the NVRAM/PRAM, and that didn't work either.
I tried booting it in safe start unsuccessfully (also kernel panic), and then booted it into recovery mode.
Restore from Time Machine doesn't find anything. I tried to "repair" the HD in Disk Utility and got "invalid node structure".
Initially trying to reinstall Mac OS X came up with both Macintosh HD and Restore HD as locked. I tried that again, and now it won't even show those as options. When 'verifying' under the re-install header, it just says "could not write installation information to disk - contact AppleCare'.
Is there anything I can do in terminal? What can I do if anything to save my laptop? Please help, and thanks in advance!!!
P.S. I am nowhere near an Apple store, and have not been able to reach anyone by phone for support.
