I'm considering upgrading from a 3400+ to one of the duel core chips compatible with my current Asus A8V-Deluxe - a gig of Kingston KVR DDR400. This isn't a long-term requirment...in a year or so I expect to be Conroeing but for now I just want a stop gap.

Am not a gamer...need a snappy XP desktop for occasional video editing and encoding.

I don't want to get into extreme OC mode...I have a good Zalman cooler and a good PSU but need a stable system more than i need to squeeze each and every MHz.

I'd like to keep the chip cost under $275 but would consider more for eye popping difference.

Which X2 is my best bang per buck?

thx

Just pick one up!
Your money is the determinant factor. Buy one that you can and you'll be glad about it.
