What is the best way to replicate/copy a single file to all pcs in my
domain?

Our MD has decided that every pc and laptop should have a common desktop
wallpaper. I can see where in the AD this should be set, but I don't want to
load the wallpaper from a network share because this won't always be
accessible to laptop users. So, I'm sure it should be easy, but short of
writing a script that fires each time someone logs on, is there a better way
to ensure that each pc and laptop has this wallpaper file accessible
locally?

thanks in advance,

Brian.

Hi

If you use roaming profiles and configure a GPO to set the wallpaper (yes if
will need to be available on a share) however when users are not connected to
the LAN they will logon with cached credentials and should use the cached
profile which I think will still alow the set wallpaper to load

If not then you are right a script and a local location of the wallpaper is
your only options AFAIK - others may be able to offer different advice
