I am looking throughout the Control Panel for a radio button, box, or
drop-down to silence mouse clicks. I looked in Mouse, System, Device
Manager, Internet Options, and a few other places. "Help" (F1) is not
helpful. :)

Any suggestions? TIA

This would appear to be a hardware issue. Go to a store and ask for a
mouse that has no clicks, like an electrical mercury switch. Never heard of
such but may exist. Good luck.

By default the various sounds for different events are turned on in Windows
when installed. You can turn off individual sounds or all sounds by
clicking Start, Settings, Control Panel. Once the panel has opened
(depending on how your system is set up) click on either Sounds and Audio
devices or double click on it.

Once the Sounds and Audio devices panel is opened, click on Sounds tab. To
turn off all Windows sounds click on the down arrow at Sound Scheme and
select No sounds. If you want to delete the sound for the default beep or
other items select the item and then choose None in Sounds. click on Apply
then OK to save changes and exit.
