A few of our servers, with W2K adv server OS, are exihibiting a problem
wherein when you issue a reboot command, it shuts down the OS but never
comes back up. When the reboot command is issued, the Windows shuts
down, but the server never seems to go down completely. It essentially
hangs with a single blinking cursor on the top left corner of an
otherwise completely blank screen. One has to then physically power
off and on the server for it come back up.

The problem may have emerged after a MS patch was installed - but I am
not sure. I have uninstalling all MS patches - but the problem
continues. The BIOS seems uptodate. This symptom is not exhibited if
the server is booted in safe mode and rebooted.

Any thoughts, insights, ideas would be most appreciated.
