Is AMD cutting all 939 socket CPU's?

If I remember correctly, by the end of the year all production of S939 will cease with the exception of the X2 4800+. The X2 4800+ was supposed to remain in production well into next.

Note the word "was" because that was before AMD decided to cease production of all X2 with 2x1MB cache. Therefore Dec. 31st 2006 will be the end of the road for S939 production.

I think the Opterons will remain in production since there are no socket AM2 versions of the Opterons.

The next generation of Opterons will be coming out for Socket F which I think is coming out this month. Since AMD really need to trim their product line, I would guess AMD will be making an announcement soon to say the S939 Opterons will be phased out sometime next year.
