I got a question regarding this setup...

NeoHE 550 Power Supply DFI Infinity Motherobard, and a AMD 4400+ Processor.

I am able to get the machine to power up fine until...

I plug the 4+ 4 pin +12V connector into the 5V/12V connector on the motherboard. and hit the power button. I hit the power button the CPU gets minimal power spins maybe once (if that) and then just dies.

1) Do I need this connector at all, will it be of any importance?
2) It's not fitting very tightly it can easily slip out...is it in the wrong place, wrong connector, etc...

I am wondering (per the manual) do I need to seperate this and that may solve the problem, but it does not appear it will fit though.

You better read up on the info pamphlet provided by the board manufacturer. You may or may not need it, or you are plugging too much in. Not all boards need the extra power connectors. Depends on your setup........READ THE BOOKLET OR GOTO THE MANUFACTURERS SITE AND READ................
