Memory Question

I want to upgrade the memory in my system to 2 or more GB

I have 1GB (2 X 512MB) now (OCZ Copper heatspreaders) purchased for around $100 USD


My motherboard is an ASUS A8N SLI Premium motherboard which can support up to 4GB of DDR 400 (PC 3200)

Could I add 2 mor GB to make 3GB?

and would I have to do anything to get XP Pro to use it?

any help would be great

Yes you can but you have to set the memory timing in the bios to 2T. I don't know if it would be able to run dual channel. It's better if you add another 2x512Mb preferably the same ram, unless you really need to have 3Gb of ramage. Why, what kind of application are you running it with that you would need 3Gb?
