Im getting the DS3 with an E6400

I was looking at getting the 2x1gb Stick of G.Skill mem, as seen here:

Will this work on this mobo? Some people have told me all you need to do is slap some older DDR2 in there to make it boot then go into the bios and set the right timings and volage for the G.Skill? Can any1 confirm this? And if you can will any DDR2 work to get it to boot into bios??

The gskill ram should work fine. There is config information on the ram itself (I forgot what it is called), your mobo will default to using this information. Usually this information is conservative so that it will work but then you can to go into the bios and tweak the settings to get more performance.

With a core 2 duo memory speed usually won't make a big difference though the E6400 doesn't have the 4mb cache of the E6600 and above.
