I have a sapphire X850 pro, with 12 pipelines enabled, clock speeds normal.
This is the card: http://www.sapphiretech.com/en/pro [...] hp?gpid=16

It uses the R480 Core, and I know it has 4 pipes disabled becasue the X850 XT has the same core with 16 pipes.

Can I unlock these pipes? Is it even worth unlocking these pipes? Is there a big performance difference? I cant afford a new card right now and I don't want to put this one in too much of a risk...

Thanks, Zman...

Get ATITool, open it up, hold shift and click on settings, and post what the fuses are. It'll look something like this:

0xFFF7FFF
0xFFFFF9F

Or something like that.

CONFIG_DIE_FUSES = 0xFFFFEFFF
CONFIG_SUBSTRATE_FUSES = 0xFFFFFF9E
CONFIG_ROM_FUSES = 0x3E1

Nah, you won't be able to do it. Just buy an aftermarket cooler and overclock the shit out of it.

would you mind telling me why i cant? I know i cant but I just wanna know...

Your fuses have to look like this:

CONFIG_DIE_FUSES = 0xFFFFFFFF
CONFIG_SUBSTRATE_FUSES = 0xFFFFFF9F

All F's. Yours looked similar to mine, which is dielocked, so I'm assuming yours is probably dielocked as well. You can always try though, but there's risks involved, such as loosing control of your fan. I'd just keep it like it is, buy an aftermarket cooler for $20, and overclock it as much as you can. You should be able to get a nice overclock out of it.
